educational development
Interested in SEED?
For the 2023-2024 school year, this program will only be offered to high school students in the Los Angeles and Santa Barbara area. We will only be accepting a total of 90 participants who are in the 9th-11th grades. The program will take place April 22nd-26th, 2024 and will consist of four days of educational workshops over Zoom and one in-person day at the UCSB campus. The program is 100% FREE and transportation to and from campus will be provided!
Workshops
We invite guest speakers from various journeys and stories on how higher education has transformed their lives and career, permitting students to gain valuable insight into the power of education.
Guest Speakers
S.E.E.D. hosts workshops covering key topics such as financial aid, A-G requirements, food insecurity, and imposter syndrome, providing students with practical skills and knowledge essential for higher education.
In-Person Visit
We provide immersive experiences, such as a campus tour, mock lecture, and interactive activities, allowing students to explore college environments firsthand to help them feel more prepared for the transition to higher education.
